Agreement

By accessing or using Lulochan (the “Services”), an AI-assisted Japanese learning application, you agree to these Terms.

Accounts and access

You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and comply with applicable laws. You must verify your email address to access the Services.

Subscriptions and billing

New accounts receive a one-time, no-card-required free trial of Lulochan Pro. Continued access to Pro features after the trial requires a paid subscription, billed through our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. If you cancel, you retain access to Pro features until the end of the current billing period. Fees are described at the time of purchase and are non-refundable except where required by law.

AI-generated content

Lulochan uses third-party AI models (including OpenAI and ElevenLabs) to generate lessons, conversational responses, and voice output. AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors or inaccuracies. Lulochan is a learning aid and does not guarantee fluency, exam results, or any specific learning outcome.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

1. Use the Services to violate law or third-party rights, or to send spam or malware.
2. Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services without authorization.
3. Reverse engineer or circumvent security or rate limits, except where prohibited law applies.
4. Create accounts through automated or scripted means, or abuse free-trial offers.

Third-party services

The Services rely on third-party providers, including OpenAI, ElevenLabs, Lemon Squeezy, and Resend. We are not responsible for outages or errors originating from these providers.

Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties not expressly stated here.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Services.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect the Services. You may stop using the Services, and cancel your subscription, at any time from your account settings.

Changes

We may modify these Terms by posting an updated version. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
